Hey All!
I'm checking myself because I need to listen more. Someone wise told me I had two ears and a mouth for a reason; to listen twice as much as I speak... yeah, I'm hard headed. That lil aquarian trait the makes me do my own thing without regard for directions or warnings or whatevers. So I'm checking myself for not listening to people like I should. And there is no particular situation, just in general. I'm sure if I had listened to someone then I'd have a specific example...

I had to check myself on committing myself to an engagement that I did last year...I decided not to do it because last year it was a mess, however, when they came calling I said sure, well two days ago they call to ask me to pay a fee to drive 300 miles, pay 200 dollars for a hotel room, not to mention my meals and my gas, all for the honor of speaking, so I had to decline gracefully and check myself on not going with my gut...it never leads me astray...

Hmmm haven't checked myself today...let me think on this and get back to you. Oh wait...hubby told me that I go off on folks even when they're trying to help me...lol. I have to be more cognizant of this so that I can remember not to do it...and to check myself!

Had to check myself givin' that boy a new hole to crap from 'cause my 11-year old had a nasty tone and talked back to me (which I don't play). Instead of going old school and breaking out the leather, I took away his IPod for the week.
